Overview

  1. Monitors daily and emergency operations within the Savannah River Site (SRS) Operations Center. Monitors and operates company portion of site radio network. Acts as a flight controller for Centerra-SRS Aviation Operations Department (AOD) on and off-site, and monitors other aircraft on-site. Makes emergency and non-emergency announcements. Notifies company and client management of incidents. Notifies off-site agencies if needed. Dispatches appropriate Site Patrol (SP), Special Response Team (SRT), Fire or Medical personnel when needed.
  2. Completes a management Daily Activity Report (DAR), from Incident and Accident Reports completed by Centerra-SRS personnel. Completes a Daily Communications Log and a monthly Post Closure Report. Maintains ability to access Emergency Notification and Emergency Recall databases as needed. Maintains Area Recall Rosters, Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT)/Mobile Command Post (MCP) Recall Rosters and Readiness Team Rosters. 
  3. Initiates emergency security operations procedures as directed or appropriate. Receives calls. Takes notes of steps taken. Coordinates emergency response until relieved by Plantwide Alternate Alarm Center (PAAC) Supervisor, Site Commander, Area Lieutenant, or Emergency Response Organization (ERO) representative. Communicates and coordinates with responding units during emergencies.
  4. Interfaces with the SRNS Emergency Duty Officer (EDO) and other Operations Center personnel to draft procedures pertaining to completion of Operations Center functions.
  5. Maintains records including flight plans, and communication times with aircraft including 15-minute time checks, range (ATTA) opening and closing times, and documentation of exercises and real emergencies
  6. Must perform all responsibilities for environment, safety and health as defined in Procedure 1-3100 and adhere to the principles and functions of Integrated Safety Management.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities & Other Requirements

  1. Reading, writing, and basic math skills; and related technical training in security monitoring, emergency management, or other related field; AND
  2. Three years of experience in emergency management or Protective Force operations; or four years of experience in monitoring alarms and security systems; AND experience in basic computer functions including keyboard entry, word processing, and file management.
  3. Ability to complete E-911 training at South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy (SCCJA) within one year of assignment to the position.
  4. Must be able to obtain/maintain Q clearance.

Interview Process and Length:
The interview process will last approximately 45 minutes and consists of Panel Interview/Questions.

 

To be considered for job assignment, the successful candidate must score a minimum of 70 points.
