Overview

  1. Oversees implementation of programs relating to information security including all employee-related programs. Serves as the Contractor Classification Officer, Classified Material Protection and Control (CMPC) Program Manager, Technical Surveillance and Countermeasures (TSCM) Program Manager, Alternate Operations Security (OPSEC) Administrator, Alternate Safeguards and Security Information Management System (SSIMS) Administrator, and Alternate Incidents of Security Concern (IOSC) Administrator. 
  2. Provides guidance, assistance, and coordinates activities of staff in execution of information security functions.
  3. Ensures implementation of DOE directives and policy pertaining to classification and declassification program and CUI program (UCNI, OUO, PII). Reviews training for Derivative Classifier (DC) and UCNI Reviewing Official (RO) candidates.  Maintains Derivative Classifier, Derivative Declassifier, and UCNI RO certifications.  Appoints DC’s and RO’s and revokes certification if needed.  Submits proposed classification guidance to DOE for approval and implementation into appropriate DOE Guides.  Writes, revises, and reviews Centerra-SRS procedures pertaining to classification, CMPC, CUI, and TSCM programs.
  4. Ensures that company personnel mark, review, transmit, control and protect all classified and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) documents. Responsible for the reproduction, distribution, and destruction of classified documents. Attends meetings with DOE Program Manager.  Develops, reviews, and revises procedures pertaining to CMPC program.  Oversees classified vault-type-room (VTR).
  5. Writes and reviews procedures for Information Security Program, TSCM Program, Foreign Ownership, Control, or Influence (FOCI), and Export Control. Tracks training to ensure personnel stay current with DOE Programmatic Directives.
  6. Subject matter expert (SME) providing assistance and guidance to company personnel on all matters concerning classified and controlled unclassified information. Performs OPSEC duties in the absence of the OPSEC Administrator; performs SSIMS duties in the absence of the SSIMS Administrator and performs IOSC duties in the absence of the IOSC administrator.
  7. Controls access to Technical Security Area (TSA). Conducts surveys to determine areas for discussion of classified information, trains users on security awareness, tracks through to completion any findings, and reports findings and actions taken to correct. Controls confiscated prohibited and controlled articles for analysis by DOE-SR.
  8. Must perform all responsibilities for environment, safety and health as defined in Procedure 1-3100 and adhere to the principles and functions of Integrated Safety Management.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities & Other Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  2. Three years of experience handling classified and/or sensitive information and material to include protection, control and destruction.
  3. Must be a Derivative Classifier.
  4. Must be a Derivative Declassifier or become one within six months.
  5. Must successfully complete the Classification Officer training course.
  6. Experience writing correspondence, reports, and procedures.
  7. Ability to obtain/maintain Q Clearance and Human Reliability Program (HRP).

Interview Process and Length:

The interview process will consist of a Panel Interview and will last approximately 45 minutes.
